Trailers License Plates

The specialty plates listed below are available for certain types of trailers. One plate is issued, and a specialty plate fee is charged in addition to the regular registration fee [pdf, 1 page, 943kb] and any other applicable fees. Additional guidelines - including fees - vary by plate type.

A Token Trailer license plate is available only for semitrailers having a gross weight in excess of 6,000 pounds to be pulled by vehicles displaying a Combination, Apportioned, Forestry, NAFTA Annual Permit, or Seasonal Agriculture license plate.
