Application Procedures

  • It is necessary to submit a separate application for each job posting.
  • Applications are accepted ONLY for current vacancy notices, on or before the closing date, and on the required forms.
  • Vacancy announcements provide the position title, salary information, the location where the vacancy exists, closing date, job description and minimum qualification requirements.
  • After the job closes, the Human Resources Division is responsible for screening each application to determine which applicants meet the minimum qualification requirements.
  • Only applications that meet all minimum qualifications and include all proper documentation will be processed.

Interviews

  • If selected for an interview, you will be contacted by the Human Resources Division to schedule an appointment.
  • Only those candidates interviewed will be notified of final selection or non-selection.

  • The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission adheres to the Former Foster Children Preference granted in Chapter 672 of Section 1, Subtitle B, Title 6 of the Texas Government Code.

    • For an Agent Trainee position you will need to complete the TABC State Application for Agent Employment, Personal Inquiry Waiver for Agent Trainees (Form HR-42), and a TABC Supplemental (Form HR-20) available in Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat.
