Eligible to Renew Online:Texas dentists, registered dental hygienists, registered dental assistants and registered dental laboratories may renew their license or registration through the Texas Online system. Use a major credit card, bank card or electronic check to submit payment.How far in advance can you renew your License or Registration? A license or registration can be renewed online, or by mail, up to 45 days before it expires. The expiration date is listed on the license. Can you renew your License or Registration after it expires? An Expired License or Registration can be renewed online, or by mail, within one year of its expiration date. The expiration date is listed on your certificate. The Board cannot accept payments by phone. (After one year in an Expired status the License will be cancelled.) Can a Cancelled License or Registration be renewed? A Cancelled License or Registration cannot be renewed.
Processing Time:Renewing through Texas Online is a convenient way to submit renewals; however, do not wait until the last minute to renew online. Online renewals can take up to five (5) business days to process. Please allow seven (7) business days after making your online payment for processing and delivery by ground mail of your annual registration certificate. The Dental Board is not able to overnight certificates to licensees or accept payments over the phone. All Annual Registration Certificates issued by the Dental Board are mailed to licensees. Deliquent Penalties:Delinquent penalties will be assessed, and added to renewal fees automatically, when using the Texas Online system. This only applies to renewals being paid after the registration certificate has expired. A cancelled annual registration certificate may not be renewed. Please contact the Dental Board for more information. The Dental Board does not accept telephone payments. Payment Receipt:You will be offered an opportunity to print a receipt during the payment process online. (Please note that obtaining a transaction number does not constitute completion of the renewal process. You must have a current certificate posted where services are being offered).
