- Q2. Can I check out the Court's record?
- Criminal - Criminal cases can not be checked out. Note: The attorney of record may contact the trial court for a copy of the clerk's record.
Civil - An attorney of record in a civil case may checkout the record for 10 days. Note: Clerk's records and reporter's records are the only filings available for checkout. - Q3. How do I obtain copies of Court documents?
- All requests for copies on criminal cases are made through the State Law Library.
- Closed civil cases may be checked out with a $50.00 deposit.
- For active civil cases only the attorney of record may check out the case to make copies.
- Records may be taken to the State Law Library for copying with approved identification.
- If the clerk's office makes copies (example: original exhibits), please allow 2-3 weeks for processing. The clerk's office will call you with the page count and the dollar amount due. When payment is received, the copy request will be processed.
- Q4. Do you allow cameras or recording devices in the courtroom?
- No. The Third Court of Appeals does not allow any recording or cameras in the courtroom.
