Overview
The TFC Facilities Division oversees the building maintenance and construction activities of state-owned office building and facilities, as well as leasing procurement and office space lease management services for other state agencies.
- Facilities Design and Construction
Facilities Design and Construction delivers professional services necessary to implement construction projects. This includes architectural and engineering design specialties and project analysis expertise.
- Facilities Management Division
The Facilities Management Division (FMD) is responsible for maintaining and operating approximately 15.5 million square feet of office space, parking garages, and parking lots owned by the State of Texas and occupied by its employees through the state.
- Facilities Leasing Division
The Facilities Leasing Division is responsible for procuring commercial lease space and lease management for client agencies throughout the state.
- Space Management
The Space Management Program has planning and oversight responsibilities for assigning/allocating space to client agencies. The program continuously evaluates the state's real property inventory and performs long-range and strategic analyses. -
Energy Management and Plant Operations
The Division of Energy Management and Plant Operations consists of two program groups; The Office of Energy Management and Plant Operations. The Division of Energy Management and Plant Operations is responsible for making sure that the State’s buildings are operated and maintained in the most reliable and efficient manner possible. Additionally, the Office of Energy Management is tasked with creating and implementing energy management policies for the entire agency.
