Utility Directories: Telephone Companies Serving Texas
The PUC is Moving to a Dynamic Telecommunications Database. In order to provide the most current information, the PUC is moving from static Excel files to dynamic database formats. The new formats allow for "Utility" searches by entering the name of a company into the search box and then selecting the company from a list. Selecting the name will produce a "Report" on the company which gives the latest contact and docket information. There will be an "Alpha" search which will list the companies in alphabetical order. There will be a "Numeric" search which will list the companies by certification number. Selecting the company name from the Alpha or Numeric list will generate the same "Report"
that is produced through the search function. To determine what telecommunication provider is serving which city, use the "Telecommunications Providers in Municipalities" search function. For CSV and TXT file instructions please see below *.

This directory includes all pay phone providers that are currently registered
to do business in Texas. The PUC rules require that pay telephone providers
be officially registered with the PUC before a telephone company connects that
provider's pay phone/s to the telephone network.

| Telecommunications Providers in Municipalities |

This directory is being provided to facilitate the identification of local telecommunications providers serving municipalities within the State of Texas. Not all municipalities are represented; only the ones for whom the Commission has the most current information on local service providers' activity.

Corrections to these Lists:
Substantive Rules 26.107, 26.109, & 26.111 requires that updates and changes to the contact information found in these lists (changes to contacts, phone numbers, addresses, emails etc.) be accomplished electronically through the Annual Report.
CLECs shall file Annual and Periodic Updates electronically using the provided logins and passwords. Unusual changes should be submitted to Central Records in Control Number 27357. The CLEC Annual Report can be found at: http://www.puc.state.tx.us/telecomm/forms/clec/clecapp.doc.
IXCs shall file Annual and Periodic Updates electronically using the provided logins and passwords. Unusual changes should be submitted to Central Records in Control Number 25000. The IXC Annual Report can be found at: http://www.puc.state.tx.us/telecomm/forms/ixc/ixcregform.doc.
Submit the notice (4 copies) to:

* A comma separated (CSV) file and a tab delimited (TXT) file has replaced existing Excel files. CSV and TXT files were designed to be opened or imported into a spreadsheet program (such as Excel or Lotus). Please download and save the CSV file first. With your spreadsheet program running, open the CSV file using comma as an import delimeter option.
