SBEC receives many questions (e-mails) on a wide variety of subjects. For this reason and to better serve you, we have provided you with several choices below.
Before sending a request or question, please be aware that all applications for credentials, requests for services, and payments for fees, must be initiated through our web based
”SBEC Online” system.
Using SBEC Online, you can:
- Apply for a Certificate
- Apply for review of out-of-state or out-of-country credentials
- Pay for services with a credit card or electronic check
- Maintain your mailing address (required by SBEC board rule)
- View the status of your certification application
- View your Texas certifications and examination results

Test Registration Issues
If you need a TEA ID number to register for testing with ETS, please login into your SBEC Online account or if you do not have one, you may create a new account by clicking here. Your TEA ID number will be listed in your profile once you have logged in/created your account. |
If your name has changed and you wish the name change to be reflected on your Official Record of Educator Certificate, click here (Please provide your social security number, date of birth, previous name, and new name in your e-mail.)
