Al Price Employees:

In support of our employees at Al Price that are dealing with personal hardships as a result of Hurricane Gustav and Hurricane Ike, TYC administration is awarding administrative leave to Al Price employees as follows:

Hurricane Gustav
Employees that deployed with the youth will receive administrative leave for each date of deployment (8/29/08 to 09/05/08). Those employees that did not deploy will receive eight (8) hours of administrative leave due to the timing of the mandatory evacuation and the Labor Day holiday.

A decision about the awarding of additional administrative leave beyond 09/20/08 will be announced when it is determined. A determination has not been made as of this date when the Al Price facility will reopen; however, efforts are being made to do so as quickly as possible.

Additional Information
The agency has received several unemployment claims from Al Price employees indicating they have been laid off due to the closure. Please be assured no employees have been terminated because of this temporary closure.
