Open Records Policy
Most information and records in the custody of the Office of Injured Employee Counsel are available to the public pursuant to Chapter 552 of the Texas Government Code, commonly known as the Open Records Act.
- Submit all Open Records Requests to Brian White, OIEC Public Information Officer.
- Provide contact information, including a mailing address and phone number.
- Ensure that it is clear that you are submitting an Open Records Request.
- Make requests in writing by using one of the following methods:

The Office of Injured Employee Counsel makes every effort to respond to requests for information in a prompt and timely manner. Certain information requested may be withheld due to an exception or because it is proprietary, in which case, the Attorney General will be contacted for a ruling. If the information cannot be produced within 10 working days, the requestor will be notified of the reasonable date and time when it will be available. The requestor will also be advised in advance if any charges will be due for the information requested.
