Governor Rick Perry appointed Victor Carrillo to the Texas Railroad Commission in February 2003. In November 2004, Victor won his first statewide election garnering almost four million votes and securing a six-year term of office. Commissioner Carrillo was sworn in to his six year term by Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Wallace Jefferson on January 5, 2005. In the photos to the right, you will see the Commissioner being sworn in and visiting with family and guests during the reception that followed.
