To enhance public education, enforcement, and regulation of industry activity in the Barnett Shale play, the Texas Railroad Commission selected Commissioner Victor Carrillo to spearhead dialogue with city and county leaders on regulatory oversight issues in the Barnett Shale. Commissioner Carrillo will focus on fostering relationships with local leaders to enhance community awareness of the agency’s regulatory framework over natural gas drilling and ultimately to increase efficiency and effectiveness of Barnett Shale oversight. Carrillo to be IOGCC Vice Chairman
At its recent Midyear Summit Meeting in Billings, Montana, the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission (IOGCC) named Texas Railroad Commissioner Victor G. Carrillo as its Vice Chairman for a one-year term beginning in October 2006. Commissioner Carrillo is currently the Second Vice Chair of the organization. The group also named Governor John Hoeven of North Dakota as its Chairman and Lynn Helms of North Dakota as Second Vice Chair. Read more............
