05/27/09 - Notice of Meeting of the Committee on Rules - Pursuant to Pursuant to Section 3.02 (d) of the
                  Texas Racing Act, the Texas Racing Commission hereby provides notice of a meeting of the Committee on
                  Rules on June 3, 2009. This meeting is posted to accept public input on the rules that were proposed at the                   Commission meeting on April 7, 2009, and proposed changes to several rules within Chapters 309 and 315,
                  which are currently open for rule review under Texas Government Code, § 2001.039. The Committee will also

02/05/09 - Notice of Meeting of the Committee on Racetrack Licensing - Pursuant to Section 3.02 (d) of the Texas
                  Racing Act, the Texas Racing Commission hereby provides notice that the next meeting of the Committee
                  on Racetrack Licensing will be held on February 13, 2009.  Commissioners Tom Clowe and Robert Schmidt
                  were appointed to serve on this committee by Chair Rolando Pablos at the December 2, 2008, Commission
                  meeting.

                  Please note that this meeting is posted to accept public input on the Exposure Draft of the Committee's
                  Report on Racetrack Licensing.  The meeting is not posted for the discussion of any specific racetrack license
                  proceeding.  A copy of the Exposure Draft, as well as the stakeholder's written comments from the December

02/04/09 -   Effective immediately, monthly renewal notices to remind owners and trainers that their license is expiring
                  will no longer be sent.  See Press Release.

02/03/09 -   Notice and agenda of Meeting of Working Group on Funding - Pursuant to Section 3.02 (d) of the Texas Racing                   Commission hereby provides notice of a meeting of the Working Group on Funding on February 11, 2009.                   Commissioners Gloria Hicks and Sonny Sowell were appointed to serve on this working group by Chair                   Rolando Pablos at the December 2, 2008, Commission meeting.

                  Please note that this meeting is posted for the discussion of policies and rules relating to the agency budget                   and funding. This meeting is not a meeting of the full Commission, therefore a quorum of the Commission will                   not be present.

01/26/09 -  Notification of Change in Commission Meeting Date - The The Texas Racing Commission meeting                      originally set for Tuesday, February 3, 2009, has been canceled. The next meeting of the Texas Racing                  Commission will be on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at 10:30 a.m.at the Texas Department of Public                  Safety, Criminal Law Enforcement, Building E, in Austin, Texas.           

                 Requests to place an item on the agenda must be made in writing not later than Wednesday, February 11,                   2009.  The agenda will be available on Tuesday, February 17, 2009.

12/01/08 - Notice of Texas Racing Commission Ethics Policy - At its meeting on October 7, 2008, the Texas Racing
                  Commission adopted an Ethics Policy for all Commission employees, the Commissioners, and the General
                  Counsel's office. It has been distributed to all Commission employees, racetracks, breed registries, and the                   horsemen's organization. It has also been posted at each racetrack for viewing by the licensees and the

11/14/08 - Revisions to Fingerprint Process for Licensees goes into effect on December 1, 2008. See Press Release.
            
10/31/08 - At a special meeting of the Texas Racing Commission on Oct. 29, 2008, the Commission granted Sam  
                 Houston Race Park’s request to cancel their fall Thoroughbred meet scheduled to start on Nov. 28, 2008
                 through Apr. 4, 2009.  SHRP’s facility sustained major damages when Hurricane Ike moved through the
                 Houston area on Sep. 13, 2008.  The Commission also approved Retama Park’s request to add 43
                 dates to their current meet, with Thoroughbred racing continuing from Nov. 20, 2008 through Feb. 28, 2009.

10/31/08 - Governor Perry Appoints Rolando Pablos Presiding Officer of Texas Racing Commission 

10/22/08 - A special meeting of the Texas Racing Commission will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008
                  at Sam Houston Race Park to consider proposals to modify the 2008/2009 live horse racing schedules as                   a result of Hurricane Ike damages to Sam Houston Race Park's facility.  The agenda is now available.
