IR/IDR Procedures (Revised):

Submitting information to IDR:

To support your decision, you may send supporting documentation. The supporting documentation must be sent by 2-day mail, hand delivery, or overnight mail and be received by HHSC within five calendar days of submitting the IR request to the address below.

HHSC must receive the IR request form and rebuttal letter within the required time frames or the IR will be denied. If the designated due date (calendar day) falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, the due date becomes the following business day.

  • Fax all IDR and informal reconsideration (IR) request forms to (512)706-7275.
  • Submit all IDR/IR rebuttals and supporting documentation to the new address via two-day mail, overnight mail, or hand delivery.

Submission of IDR/IR requests and supporting documentation to the wrong fax number or address may result in processing delays.

The IDR and IR request forms have been revised. Please discard old forms and begin using the Revised IDR Request Form and Revised IR Request Form.
