The Sunset Advisory Commission is charged with determining if an agency's functions continue to be needed, if those functions could be better performed by another agency, and if the agency's statute should be changed to improve its operation. The agencies listed in the dropdown menu below are under Sunset review during the 2010 - 2011 cycle. The Commission will make recommendations on these agencies to the Legislature. Using the form below, please describe the issue(s) that are of interest to you or your organization. Please be specific in explaining why an issue is a problem for the agency and how proposed recommendations might be implemented to address those issues.
Your information will help
us identify problems and solutions related to the agency under Sunset review.
However, please be aware that the Sunset Commission cannot intervene in individual
cases or arbitrate disputes with an agency.
All comments received by the Commission staff in conducting its evaluation and preparing a report are not subject to public disclosure under Chapter 552 of the Texas Government Code, commonly known as the Open Records Act. However, comments received after a staff report is published will be considered public information. To respond to a staff report, please send an email to sunset@sunset.state.tx.us.
Thank you for assisting us in our efforts to improve Texas government.
