EMS/Trauma Systems
Welcome to the home page of the DSHS program that regulates EMS and trauma
systems in Texas. This website contains information about EMS certification
and licensure, trauma designation, how to contact us and more.
A message from DSHS to EMS providers:
As we move rapidly toward mass vaccination for H1N1 flu across Texas, please consider assisting your local health departments by volunteering your paramedics to work in vaccination clinics in your area. Paramedics can be an invaluable asset during a mass vaccination if extra personnel are needed. Please help us get Texas ready for H1N1 by contacting your local health department offices.
For the latest on H1N1, go to www.TexasFlu.org.
