Of Special InterestThe Social COMETeerDo you have a Facebook account? Interested in connecting with other COMET/MetEd users? Visit, connect and share on COMET's Facebook group page. And for those of you that are avid photographers, we recently set up a COMETWx Flickr group to share images. We're always looking for good shots to include in our modules and here's a great way to share your photos with us and the rest of the COMET community. Are you going mobile? We're thinking about it...We're experimenting with Mobile MetEd, a version of MetEd with links to our print versions for viewing content on low-bandwidth with small screens. It's a work in progress but feel free to visit our latest incarnation at:
COMET/MetEd on iTunes UThe UCAR/NCAR community has a spot in iTunes U. The National Science Digital Library (NSDL), a National Science Foundation funded program, is our host. You'll find a small collection of COMET materials available in the 'Earth Science' section (link will launch iTunes; iTunes software required). These video adaptions of our modules can be downloaded for viewing on video-capable devices. RSS Feed for module publicationsA while back we added a RSS feed as a means to distribute new module publication information. We'll keep a permanent link to the feed in the column to the right, at the top of the "Recent Publications" list, as well as on our Subscribe to Updates page. If you make use of feeds, be sure to subscribe; it's a great way to get a link to the latest COMET modules. |
What's New?Time for more of your input...We're looking to get more details on how folks are using the print and download versions of our modules. If you use either of these, please give us your insights on how and why you make use of them. Take the survey... Search for information and training about environmental satellites from international resources, including MetEd. More info...
