James E. Smith, Ph.D., has been appointed President of Westat at the May 26th annual stockholders meeting. Westat is an employee-owned corporation providing research services to agencies of the U.S. Government, as well as businesses, foundations, and state and local governments.

Science360 for iPad Application Launched

Developed on Westat's project supporting the National Science Foundation's (NSF's) web site, nsf.gov, the Science360 for iPad application was launched Thursday, June 9. The application is now available for free download in the App Store section of Apple's iTunes.

Prestigious Award for Accountability Reporting Given to Westat Project

The Association of Government Accountants has given its top honor to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the agency's 2010 Performance and Accountability Report (PAR). Westat worked closely with the FAA to design and produce the PAR.
