State budget short an additional $240 million

On the heels of a spending cuts Gov. Bill Ritter made in August, lawmakers learned today that the state is short another $240 million in the current budget year that started in July. 
09/21/2009 - A year ago during a heated congressional race, former state Sen. Polly Baca said she couldn't support Joan Fitz-Gerald in the Democratic primary because of her role in a special session on illegal immigration.
