  1. Right now we’re presenting SOFIA’s Science Vision document to intl teams of researchers at International Astronomical Union meeting.
  2. SOFIA staff on panel re intl astronomy public outreach in 2009 IYA as part of International Space University (ISU)'s summer session at Ames.

  4. Gave presentation re: planetary science & SOFIA at ASSET (Astrobiology Summer Science Experience for Teachers) workshop SF State University.

  6. Just finished testing performance of the gyroscope unit on the telescope's assembly system. Tests completed on other system-level software.

  12. Gave American Astronomical Society-sponsored Shapley lecture regarding SOFIA at the College of Southern Nevada, Las Vegas.
  13. Supported presentation regarding SOFIA by Prof. Mark Morris of UCLA to the Los Angeles County Astronomical Society.
  14. Presented talk on SOFIA with Infrared camera demo and handout materials to 90 students in 3 classes at Logan High School in Union City.
