The Sycuan band of the Kumeyaay Nation has donated $500,000 to the San Diego Foundation’s After-the-Fires Fund.

The Fresno Bee
The federal government is directing more than $5 million to help American Indian communities repair damage from Southern California’s wildfires.
Funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will be available to repair homes, pay for temporary housing, restore communities centers on tribal lands and other costs.
