Current Version Epi Info™, Version 3.5.1 Supports OS Windows 98/NT 4.0/2000/XP/Vista |
Individuals and institutions around the world have translated
Epi Info™ using language translation databases they create (Language.mdb).
These databases are maintained and distributed by organizations outside CDC.
Use the following links to download a language translation file as an
example of how to prepare a translation. These files contain a compressed
Language.mdb database which can be installed using Epi Info. The database
contains the phrases translated for the specified language.
Download the language translation file, for example Spanish.exe. Save the file to the \TransEXE subfolder where Epi Info is installed as in C:\Epi_Info\TransEXE\Spanish.exe. From the Epi Info menu, click Settings | Manage Translations. Select the name of the language file and click "Install Language".
This work was prepared by voluntary contributors who periodically improve and complete the translation databases. If you discover any omissions or errors, you can make the corrections yourself or contact the translator directly to learn if an update is available.
If you are a translator and would like to be included on our contact list as a resource to translate Epi Info™ into other languages, please send your contact information to the Epi Info™ helpdesk at
EpiInfo@cdc.gov.
Refer to the contact information below to obtain the other translated material, which may be free or for sale to recover translation and media costs.

Special Download for Epi Graph Translation
The Epi Graph component of Epi Info™ is translated in a different way than the rest of Epi Info™ because its
graph control is supplied by an outside vendor. If you want to translate
the graph control used in your Epi Info application, you will need a
special file. The graph control translations are available in the following languages:
Chinese, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese,
Spanish, and Swedish.
To download and install the translation file for the graph control,
follow these steps:
