The jobless rate was 5.4 percent in the previous month. Over the month, the unemployment rates for adult men, whites, and Hispanics or Latinos declined. The unemployment rates for adult women, teenagers, and blacks or African Americans were little changed. The data in this report are from the Current Population Survey and are seasonally adjusted.
