National Diabetes Education Program
American Indian/Alaska Native Diabetes Prevention Billboards
Promote diabetes prevention in your community through billboards. Inspired by the
Small Steps. Big Rewards.
Prevent type 2 Diabetes campaign, these billboards encourage American Indians/Alaska Natives to take small
steps to prevent diabetes by losing weight, being more active, and cutting calories. You can customize
your billboards! Include your organization’s logo, add a local phone number, include a community image,
adapt and reproduce them as bumper stickers, bookmarks, or any other form of promotional material.
Call the Association of American Indian Physicians (AAIP) at 1-877-943-4299 to receive a CD with the
billboard files.
