Berkeley-India Joint Leadership on Energy and the Environment (BIJLEE) kick off event
Berkeley Lab and the University of California, Berkeley have announced a joint research and development program in which researchers will work with the government and private sector of India to develop paths toward reducing the emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) while maintaining sustained economic growth.

Pleased to be Contributing Authors in Nobel Prize Winning IPCC Panel
Jayant Sathaye, Lynn Price, Willy Makundi (retired), and Ernst Worrell are all IESG members who have served as lead authors on various IPCC reports. IESG researchers Stephane de la Rue du Can and Aleksandra Novikova contributed to the analysis. Other members of Environmental Energy Technology Division Mark Levine and Evan Mills, have also participated in the research done by the IPCC.

The IESG is composed of scientists active on the world forum in the areas of energy, forestry, and climate research. They work to inform governments and international institutions on energy-related issues to help them formulate energy and environmental policies and to facilitate the diffusion of energy-efficient and environmentally benign technology.
