Crossmatches with State Employment Security Agencies

DC-9204

Feb. 27, 1992

TO ALL STATE IV-D DIRECTORS

RE: Crossmatches with the State Employment Security Agencies

Dear Colleague:

Last year the Federal Parent Services (FPLS) conducted four quarterly crossmatches with the State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs) wage and unemployment files.

We are pleased to inform you that we are continuing the SESA Crossmatches and plan to conduct four of them this year. For each crossmatch, we will submit 200,00 cases to 49 SESA (s).

Attached is the 1992 schedule for submitting cases to the FPLS for the SESA crossmatches. Cases can be submitted to the FPLS either co-line or on tape. At this time there is no limit to the number of cases that on-line users can submit. Tape users, however, should contact the FPLS to discuss the number of cases they can submit for each crossmatch.

One of the key features of the recently implemented FPLS system allow users to "direct" or "broadcast" cases to the SESA(s). The "direct" option allows the user to send a case to a specific SESA(s). The "broadcast" option allows the user to send a case to all SESAs participating in the crossmatch. This feature provides a more efficient and cost effective use of third valuable resources.

If you have any questions, please contact the FPLS staff at (202) 401-9267.

Sincerely,

Allie Page Matthews

Deputy Director
