Lobbyist Communications
Federal agencies are prohibited from meeting with registered lobbyists to discuss particular projects, applications, or applicants for funding under the Recovery Act. Federal agency employees may communicate orally (in person or over the phone) with registered lobbyists regarding general Recovery Act policy issues as long as the oral communications do not extend to specific projects, applications or applicants for funding. Registered lobbyists must submit communications regarding specific projects, applications, or applicants for funding in writing, and all written communications must be posted to the agency’s Recovery Act website within three business days.
