The Worker Protection Standard (WPS) Inspection and Enforcement Accomplishments Report is prepared annually by EPA based on data submitted by states and tribes or regional program staff in instances where EPA manages the WPS program.
The goal is to gather information that presents a national view of the status of implementation of the WPS program.
Beginning in FY2005, states and tribes also report on the ten specific WPS violation categories that each enforcement action covered by the WPS. EPA expects the data on WPS violation categories to be useful for inspection targeting and for directing training to areas of the WPS rule mostly frequently violated.
EPA provides guidelines (PDF) (182K, 33 pp, About PDF) on reporting WPS compliance monitoring and enforcement activities conducted under the its Cooperative Agreement program. States and tribes are required to report specific information on WPS agriculture use inspections and enforcement actions.
