Mission

Define defense requirements, develop strategic doctrine and champion the Coast Guard’s national defense role, in support of Joint Vision 2020 and the National Military Strategy.

Continuously improve Strategic Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Execution, and Evaluation System (SPPBEES) processes that improve our national defense capabilities.

Capture operational inputs and ensure that our processes deliver the resources required to achieve Coast Guard goals.

Coast Guard units are deployment capable and equipped at the Required Operational Capability (ROC) for the Projected Operating Environment (POE); they are deployable within Force Flow (formerly TPFDD) windows and exceed deployment performance standards.
