Hanford Site Access Basic Training
Planning to come to the Hanford site?
Because of the unique hazards to people and the environment on the Hanford site, some visitors and vendors are required to complete basic training in safety, security, environmental protection, and work practices before coming on site. Depending on your reasons for coming on site and your expected activities while here, you may be required to:
- Review information in our Hanford Visitor Orientation booklet, available here. For best results, print the booklet, stapling it in the middle, and bring it with you.
- Complete an online Hanford Site Orientation course. To take this course, ask your Hanford host to register you for the course by contacting HAMMER.
- Complete extensive training available only on site. In this case, your host will provide you with training instructions.
Prior to arriving at the Hanford site, consult with your host about the training you will need before or upon arrival.
