Project Description:
| This project will be implemented by expanding the APD’s Crisis Outreach and Support Team (COAST), which currently works to assist officers in addressing the needs of persons in crisis who come into contact with law enforcement. APD plans on hiring six full-time positions (four civilian, two sworn) to implement referral processes and outreach strategies for people in need and refer people in need to service providers for assistance on mental health issues, addiction harm reduction strategies, and victimization prevention education. |
