The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) provided $300 million in new funding for national and state programs to support the implementation of verified and certified diesel emission reduction technologies.

Recovery Act Clean Diesel Programs

The National Clean Diesel Campaign portion of the Recovery Act funding is divided into four programs.

The Diesel Emissions Reduction Program (DERA) Recovery Plan was submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on May 15, 2009. Recovery Plan (PDF) (10 pp, 130K, about PDF files)

EPA will issue additional Requests For Applications later this year. The FY 2009 National Diesel Emissions Reduction Program is $60 million.

Recovery Act Reporting Guidance

This section includes links to guidance documents to help grantees understand the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Recovery Act reporting requirements.
