WILLIAM
T. NEARY TO SERVE AS U.S. TRUSTEE
IN WISCONSIN AND NORTHERN ILLINOIS FOR INTERIM PERIOD
WASHINGTON, D.C.-William T. Neary, United States Trustee
for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas (Region 6),
will also serve as United States Trustee for the Northern
District of Illinois and the Eastern and Western Districts
of Wisconsin (Region 11) for an interim period, the United
States Trustee Program announced today. Neary will assume
his new duties on January 23, 2006. He will replace Ira Bodenstein,
who is resigning as U.S. Trustee for Region 11 to return to
the private practice of law.
Since 1986, Neary has been the U.S. Trustee for Region 6,
which has offices in Dallas and Tyler, Texas. Neary has previously
served as the U.S. Trustee in other regions for interim periods
during temporary vacancies. He received his law degree in
1982 from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and his
undergraduate degree in 1979 from Vanderbilt University in
Nashville.
The U.S. Trustee Program is the component of the Justice
Department that protects the integrity of the bankruptcy system
by overseeing case administration and litigating to enforce
the bankruptcy laws.
The Program has 21 regions and 95 field offices. Region
11 is headquartered in Chicago with additional offices in
Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin.
