The
National Park Service (NPS), like most Federal bureaus, by law, submits
a budget request to Congress for each fiscal year. The NPS submits its
budget proposal in a publication called Budget Justifications
which includes a summary of bureau accomplishments for the current year
and funding requests for the next year. The NPS Budget Justifications
book is organized by appropriation including Operation of the National
Park System, National Recreation and Preservation, Historic Preservation
Fund, Construction and Major Maintenance, and Land The
NPS budget request is part of a comprehensive
President's Budget The
NPS budget is submitted to Congress as part of the Department of
the Interior and Related Agencies Appropriation request.
