Students in high school, college, graduate programs, and nursing and medical schools are eligible to apply for paid summer research opportunities at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
Exciting research opportunities in the Clinical Center are available in laboratory medicine; imaging sciences and radiology; nursing; rehabilitation medicine; anesthesiology; transfusion medicine and blood banking; and critical care. At the Clinical Center, the nation’s largest hospital devoted entirely to clinical research, students work with mentors who are researchers and allied health professionals; participate in the NIH Research Poster Festival with results generated by their work in this summer program; and attend weekly lectures presented by NIH investigators.
