Water Quality Assessment - Oregon's 2004/2006 Integrated Report
Database
[About the Database] [Instructions]
[Review the Database]
The 2004/2006 Integrated Report assessment database contains
information on:
- Water quality status for water bodies in Oregon.
- Category 5 Water Quality Limited Waters needing a TMDL (2004/2006
Section 303(d) list.)
- Water bodies that were removed from prior year 303(d) lists (De-listed.)
The report database updates the 1998 and 2002 databases and 303(d)
lists. The listing status from prior assessments may be
carried forward if no new or insufficient new information was
available for a water body.
Information in the assessment database is organized by:
- Record ID - A unique combination of water body location,
pollutant parameter, and season.
- Location - A stream, lake, or reservoir identified by an
LLID number (derived from the latitude/longitude at the mouth of the
water body) and the starting and ending river miles for the water
body or segment of the water body. RM 0 is the mouth of the stream
or center of a lake/reservoir.
- Parameter - A pollutant that may impair water quality and
has an Oregon water quality standard.
- Season - The season, such as Summer or Fall Winter
Spring, or a time period when the pollutant may be present.
Each unique record will have other information including:
- Criteria - Summary of Oregon water quality criteria for
the pollutant.
- Beneficial Use - Beneficial use protected by the
pollutant standard.
- Status - An assessment category assigned to each record
based on evaluating water quality information using the assessment
methodology decision rules.
- Category 1: All standards are met. (This category is
not used.)
- Category 2: Attaining - Some of the pollutant
standards are met.
- Category 3: Insufficient data to determine whether a
standard is met.
- 3B: Potential concern - Some data indicate
non-attainment of a criterion, but data are insufficient to
assign another category.
- Category 4: Water is water quality limited but a TMDL
is not needed. This includes:
- 4A: TMDL approved - TMDLs needed to attain
applicable water quality standards have been approved.
- 4B: Other pollution control requirements are
expected to address all pollutants and will attain water
quality standards.
- 4C: Impairment is not caused by a pollutant
(e.g., flow or lack of flow is not considered a pollutant.)
- Category 5: Water is water quality limited and a TMDL
is needed, Section 303(d) list.
- Assessment Year and Action - Year the assessment was done
and what action was taken.
- Supporting Data - Summary of the monitoring site data or
other information that was evaluated.
Search criteria options:
- Full report - Use the default "All" selections. (The
report may take a while to load as there are around 18,000 records.)
- Limited report - Select by Watershed (4th Field
Hydrologic Unit Code HUC), Water body (Stream/Lake), pollutant
Parameters, and/or Listing Status, or use the default "All"
selection.
- Water quality limited water bodies (Appendix A) - Select
the Listing Status: "Water Quality Limited - All".
- 2004/2006 303(d) list - Select Listing Status: "Water
Quality Limited TMDL needed - 303(d)".
- De-listed waters - Click the checkbox for "Water bodies
de-listed in 2004 with associated records". Search may be for all
de-listed water bodies, or be limited by Watershed, Water body,
and/or Pollutant Parameter.
NOTE: Large rivers (Willamette River, Columbia River,
Deschutes River, etc.) may be in more than one watershed. Select
"CROSSES SUBBASINS" for the Watershed name, or search by Water body
name.
Select search criteria and then click the Search button to begin
searching the database.
