Laser Induced Breakdown Spectrometer - Core Scanner (LIBS-CS)

Abstract
The LIBS-CS instrument is designed to scan core samples and provide elemental analysis.

Application(s)
Many fields where image analysis is important could benefit from this technology.  This technology has been demonstrated most effectively for medical applications.

Advantages

Overall, QOALA yields very good object- and image-level classification performances.

More specifcally, the object-level features as implemented in QOALA are versatile and general enough to elicit important information from even imperfectly segmented objects. Additionally, non-nuclear features, have good classification performance, yielding an increase in the object and image-level analysis for image classification purposes.

IP Status: Available both Exclusively and Non Exclusively

Commercialization Strategy: This technology is available for commercial licensing either exclusively or nonexclusively.
