Reliability, Availability & Maintainability Special Interest Area Maintainability Availability Reliability Policy and Guidance Tools Training Center Community Connection

Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) are engineering design characteristics that provide "more bang" (for missions) while requiring "less bucks" (for support). Higher levels of RAM multiply force effectiveness and increase performance measures such as operational availability/readiness, dependability (probability of mission success), and safety for users; while decreasing the demand for (and cost of) logistics support.
