The Coal City Community Unit Education Association IEA-NEA and the Coal City Unit School District 1 board recently settled on a one-year contract, following a series of negotiation meetings and sessions with a federal mediator. The school board voted unanimously to approve the proposed agreement bringing an end to the conflict which began in April.
