    Judicial Administration Program

     

    Michigan State University, School of Criminal Justice offers three educational opportunities for individuals currently working in the courts or those preparing for a career in court administration through its Judicial Administration Program. Students may choose from three options: (1) a sixty-hour noncredit certificate which can be taken online or delivered through their own training and education institute in collaboration with Michigan State; (2) an online four course credit-bearing graduate certificate; and (3) an online Master's Degree in Criminal Justice, Specialization in Judicial Administration. The Judicial Administration Program is a community of learners, scholars, practitioners, and organizations dedicated to the advancement of the missions, mandates, and purposes of judicial systems across the globe through expert management and timeless leadership principles and practices.


    Courses vary based on the option chosen with each option focusing on the specialized knowledge and skill related to the court administration profession and includes: leadership, purposes of courts, budget and finance, human resource management, information technology management, visioning and strategic planning, education and development, media and community relations, caseflow management, and court program operations.
