Virgin Islands Awarded $1.4 Million Broadband Grant

Governor deJongh said today that the Virgin Islands has been awarded approximately $1.4 million from the National Telecommunications Information Administration of the Department of Commerce under their Broadband Technologies Opportunity Program (BTOP).

Recovery in Action: USVI Energy Rebate Program Funded

This afternoon, Governor deJongh announced that that the Virgin Islands Energy Office is poised to begin its third rebate program funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This program, slated to begin before the new year, is focused on the replacement of inefficient dishwashers and freezers with energy efficient ones.
