The Human Factors QMB charter is to reduce human error mishaps and enhance war fighting ability by:

  • Improving the Naval Aviation processes, programs and systems that affect human performance.
  • Institutionalizing improvements and the process of continuing improvements.

Potential benefits include fewer mishaps, improved readiness and enhanced war fighting.

Methodology

The QMB uses mishap data analysis, benchmarking, and command safety assessments, along with brainstorming, to develop action recommendations for the Air Board.
