TOOLS & RESOURCES

Need help implementing CRM?  This link connects you with a host of tools to apply CRM on the mission, on the job, and on the weekend.  The Ground Risk Assessment Tool and TRiPS, are just a few of the tools available here.  If you need to read and research, this is also the link for you.  Click here to access the regulations, pamphlets, and field manuals which guide the integration of CRM.

  • Risk Management Information System (RMIS) (AKO Login Required) - a web-based search and research tool for Army accident statistics, preliminary loss reports, hazards and controls (to include lessons learned); covers aviation, POV and ground (e.g., hazardous materials, explosives, civilians) and searches by system type.

  • Travel Risk Planning System (TRiPS) (AKO Login Required) - Soldiers input and receive hazard and risk mitigation information based on their trip specifics, including vehicle type, driver age, destination, seatbelt use and more. Supervisors can view the activity of their subordinates two levels down, thereby expanding leadership engagement and awareness.

  • Ground Risk Assessment Tool (GRAT) (AKO Login Required) - The Ground Risk Management tool is designed to facilitate the process of identifying, assessing and controlling hazards arising from the operational environment and recommending controls to mitigate those hazards. This tool cannot identify all possible hazards associated with a mission but will provide historical hazards identified from similar missions.

  • The new CRM Card - "Don't leave home without it!" - The CRM Card may be downloaded and printed for your Soldiers and family members. Your installation training aid support center may be able to print the cards on credit card-sized plastic or keychain fobs. In your wallet or on your keychain, the CRM Card reminds us to THINK CRM when faced with risk decisions both on and off duty. In addition, the CRM Card provides a quick reference guide to the 5-Step CRM Process and the CRM Matrix.

  • Soldier Risk Assessment Questionnaires - Includes the Leader's Accident Risk Assessment, Accident Risk Assessment for Individuals, and Battle Buddy Risk Assessment.
