Receive AQMD Air Quality Forecasts by Email

The South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) now has two ways to receive day-in-advance air quality forecasts by email:  the EPA-sponsored EnviroFlash program and the Basin-wide Forecast (PDF version).  Please see the list below to determine which best meets your needs.  The forecasts are for the next day and include the same-day update.  Both are issued in the late morning and contain the predicted Air Quality Index (AQI) level, color code and pollutant of most concern.  Both emails services are free.

For a map showing AQMD forecast area boundaries, see http://www.aqmd.gov/map/MapAQMD2.pdf, or enter your address in the AQMD Interactive Forecast Map.

Click here for an explanation of the Air Quality Index (AQI).
