TIBERI: WHERE ARE THE JOBS? HOW IS OHIO’S ECONOMY STIMULATED, MR. VICE-PRESIDENT?
Tiberi Statement On Vice-President Joe Biden’s Visit To Ohio
Washington,
Jul 9 -
U.S. Congressman Pat Tiberi (R-OH) issued the following statement regarding Vice-President Joe Biden’s visit to Ohio highlighting the stimulus bill:
“I’m hoping Vice-President Biden will be able to tell Ohioans how much of their hard-earned money is being used to pay for signs like the one below, rather than getting construction projects off the ground. The administration is focusing on patting themselves on the back while more and more Ohioans are losing their jobs and families continue to struggle. Ohioans were promised this bill would lower unemployment and stimulate the economy; instead according to a Government Accountability Office report released yesterday, stimulus money is being used by state officials as a bailout for states – helping them band-aid their budgets, and not stimulating the economy. We should be getting Ohioans, and all Americans working again, by creating long-term, good-paying jobs, not creating political propaganda along the nation's highways.”
