CERTIFICATION AND ANALYSIS OF U.S. WINE FOR
EXPORT TO THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY (EEC)
Proprietors of Bonded Wineries, Bonded Wine Cellars,
Taxpaid Wine Bottling Houses and Others Concerned
Purpose: This circular is issued to notify the public
that ATF Procedure 86-1 (see ATF Industry Circular 86-2)
has been amended as set forth below.
(1) The first indent of Section 6.01(d) will be
replaced by the following two subparagraphs:
"- for non-appellation U.S. grape table wine,
indicate 'U.S. Wine';
- for non-appellation U.S. sparkling wine,
indicate 'U.S. Sparkling Wine';"
(2) The words "an official" appearing in the first
line of Sections 7.07 and 7.08 will be changed to
read "a person".
These changes were suggested by the Commission of the
European Economic Community and bring the Procedure into
conformity with EEC regulatory requirements.
