Welcome to IZDIHAR
Izdihar, which means “prosperity” in Arabic, was a comprehensive program funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development from 2004-2008 to expand the Iraqi private sector and create jobs by developing a more market-friendly environment for economic growth. Izdihar is succeeded by USAID's Tijara Provincial Economic Growth Program. Since April 2008, the Tijara program has been building on Izdihar’s work in sustainable microfinance, bank lending for small and medium size enterprises, business development services and training, investment promotion, trade reform and access into the World Trade Organization.
