ORCA is here…

Seven regional transportation agencies are introducing a new transportation pass program called ORCA-One Regional Card for All. ORCA programs will eventually replace the PugetPass, FlexPass, Vanpool Pass, and Commuter Bonus Vouchers.

ORCA uses smart card technology to automatically account for different fares and transfers on Community Transit, Everett Transit, King County Metro Transit, Kitsap Transit, Pierce Transit, Sound Transit and Washington State Ferries.

If your company currently buys monthly passes, the transition to ORCA will significantly affect the way your company orders passes. Here's what to expect. [.pdf 203kb] (new 4/16/09)

Most pass products your company currently orders for its employees will continue to be available until the transition to ORCA is complete. Metro business accounts will make the transition to ORCA over a period of a few months. Metro ticket books will continue to be available separately from the ORCA program.

Annual FlexPass customers will convert to ORCA upon their annual renewal date and can expect to be contacted by a Metro ORCA representative well in advance of their expiration date. In the meantime, if you wish to use some ORCA monthly products in addition to your FlexPass, we can start that for you now. Please contact us at the number below and we'll get you going.

The new ORCA Business Accounts offer two programs including an electronic voucher option. See details here:
