NTSB LAUNCHES TEAM TO INVESTIGATE THE FATAL PASSIVE GRADE CROSSING ACCIDENT INVOLVING A SCHOOL BUS ON THE GEORGIA-TENNESSEE BORDER


The National Transportation Safety Board has launched a team to investigate the passive grade crossing accident involving a freight train and a school bus in Tennga, Georgia, on the border of Tennessee and 30 miles east of Chattanooga. Fatalities and injuries will be confirmed when the team arrives on the scene.

The NTSB's team is headed by Ken Suydam, Investigator-in-Charge. The seven member team will also be accompanied by Public Affairs Officer Lauren Peduzzi.
