Release of Passenger Names or Passenger Manifests

If you are inquiring about a commercial aviation accident that has just occurred, please contact the affected airline directly via the toll free number they are providing to the media or that has been posted on their website.

The National Transportation Safety Board does not maintain passenger manifests from past accidents.

Additionally, NTSB policy prohibits the release or verification of names of passengers/employees involved in a transportation disaster regardless of whether they were injured or killed.

A copy of a death certificate can be obtained only from the jurisdiction in which the victim was positively identified and the coroner or medical examiner issued a death certificate.
