Barring Defense Contractors from Interrogations January 9, 2007 -
Congressman Price introduced an amendment to the annual Defense policy bill (H.R. 5658), which would bar private defense contractors from performing prisoner interrogations. It passed with bipartisan support, and the House passed the overall bill on May 22nd. The Senate version of the legislation also forbids contractors from performing prisoner interrogations.
